About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (must be from AHA) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. This is a backfill position in a Level III trauma center. The facility offers state-of-the-art operating suites with various trauma cases treated. We provide healthcare services to the surrounding region, including medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services. Additional services include a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, day surgery center, and extensive imaging and lab testing services. The hospital has received several accreditations and awards in healthcare. The area features beautiful landscapes, several recreational opportunities, and cultural attractions. The patient population includes individuals with ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, and Psychological Disorders. The Emergency Department has a total of 48 beds with flexible space. Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track. We utilize advanced equipment including Zoll Defibrillators and Ultrasound Guided IVs. Team nursing and a pod system are implemented for efficient care delivery. A social worker is assigned to the department, along with a unit educator. Common diagnoses treated in the ED include Substance Abuse Disorders, COPD, CHF, Abdominal Pain, and Chest Pain.
