Retail Store SupervisorPosition Summary: The Retail Store Supervisor supports daily operations, sales performance, and team leadership for the Starboard Shop and Lighthouse Kids locations at The Sea Pines Resort. This role ensures exceptional guest service, drives sales, maintains brand standards, and leads a high-performing team in a fast-paced resort environment. The Supervisor serves as a leader on the sales floor and acts as Manager on Duty when needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Leadership and Team DevelopmentSupervise, coach, and motivate retail associatesLead by example in delivering exceptional guest serviceAssist with onboarding and training of new team membersProvide ongoing feedback and performance coachingServe as Manager on Duty in absence of Store Manager or Assistant ManagerSales and Guest ExperienceDeliver a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for all guestsDrive sales through product knowledge, upselling, and cross-sellingBuild relationships with guests and provide personalized serviceResolve guest concerns professionally and timelyEnsure consistent execution of brand and service standardsOperations and MerchandisingSupport opening and closing proceduresMaintain visual merchandising standards in both store locationsAssist with inventory processes including receiving, stocking, and countsMonitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needsMaintain store cleanliness and organizationEnsure compliance with company policies and loss prevention practicesFinancial and Performance SupportSupport achievement of sales goals and key performance indicatorsAssist in monitoring store performance and identifying opportunitiesEnsure accuracy in POS transactions and cash handlingHelp minimize inventory shrink through proper proceduresQualifications:RequiredMinimum 2 years of retail experienceAt least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership roleStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentFlexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidaysBasic proficiency with POS systems and computersPreferredExperience in resort or specialty retailExperience with children's apparel or lifestyle brandsBilingual skills are a plusKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Leadership and team developmentStrong guest service focusSales-driven mindsetEffective communication skillsAttention to detail and organizationAbility to multitask and adaptPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 25 poundsAbility to perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and movementWork Environment:Fast-paced retail environment within a resort settingHigh guest interactionSeasonal fluctuations in business levelsEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
