Payroll Administrator

Required Skills & Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or higher education

• 4+ years of clerical or administrative experience, ideally including accounts payable

• Previous payroll experience required

• Previous certified payroll experience required

• Strong organizational skills and ability to independently manage recurring deadlines

• Comfort handling confidential employee and financial information

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Solid math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Previous work experience in fire safety or the construction industry

• Coursework in bookkeeping, accounting, or business

• Experience with Sage 100 accounting software

• Experience with union payroll/reporting requirements

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a dependable Payroll, HR & Office Administrator to oversee payroll, compliance reporting, employee benefits, and day-to-day office operations. This role serves as the primary liaison with the company's outsourced accounting team and is responsible for managing certified payroll, tax filings, union reporting, accounts payable support, insurance audits, and employee onboarding. Additional duties include administering health insurance and SIMPLE IRA plans, processing E-Verify and new-hire reporting, answering employee and customer inquiries, and providing general HR and administrative support in a fast-paced construction and fire protection environment.
