Candidates must be able to work at least one weekend shift each week.Salary Range: $16.00 – $18.00 / hour - based on work experience and/or education. Overtime and pay incentives availableEarn an additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked from 11:00 PM Friday through 11:00 PM Sunday (available to both Full-Time and Part-Time employees).Job SummaryBuild trusting relationships and meaningful connections with adolescents.Mentor and encourage youth through daily challenges while promoting positive decision-making.Support community integration by accompanying adolescents to school activities, shopping, medical appointments, family visits, and recreational outings.Teach and reinforce essential life skills, including cooking, laundry, cleaning, and personal responsibility.Use positive reinforcement and crisis de-escalation techniques to help adolescents succeed.Participate in recreational activities.Serve as a positive role model while helping adolescents develop independence, confidence, and healthy social skills.QualificationsRequirementsBachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma/GED plus three (3) years of experience working with children or adolescentsValid driver's license with a good driving recordAbility to work with adolescents in a residential treatment settingStrong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skillsPassion for making a positive impact in the lives of youthAbility to frequently lift a minimum of fifty pounds (50lbs).Must pass and maintain certification in mandated trainings including but not limited to Crisis Management, CPR and First Aid.Operate vehicles in accordance with applicable laws, insurance company requirements and Aurora Staffing Policies.Must be cleared for employment under the Criminal History Background Checks (CHRI).Clearance from the state of N.J.
