About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Partnerships and Advancement to play a pivotal role in increasing and expanding corporate and foundation support. The successful candidate will be a passionate and seasoned professional with a proven track record in project and grants management, and the ability to meet ambitious goals. This role is key to the organization's mission of empowering African Americans and requires a commitment to racial equity and civil engagement. The Vice President will be responsible for managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and potential donors, and will serve as an advocate for the organization's values and vision. The ideal candidate for the Vice President position at the company will be a highly collaborative team member, capable of inspiring historic philanthropy and managing complex partnerships. They should be a skilled communicator, comfortable engaging with a variety of audiences, and have a deep understanding of the values and priorities of the organization. The role demands agility in adapting to changing organizational needs and the ability to work closely with key leaders on special projects. A background in government relations is also important, as the Vice President will be expected to proactively identify and solicit support from new and existing corporate and foundation donors.
