Position: MedTech Sales Consultant – Orthopaedics (Commission) Job Overview DePuy Synthes is seeking a Sales Consultant to develop and maintain relationships with surgeons and healthcare providers in a defined geographic territory. The role focuses on promoting orthopaedic products including joint reconstruction, trauma, spinal surgery, sports medicine, and digital solutions to improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Prospect and qualify new surgeon and account opportunities, develop tailored plans and strategies to grow sales. Achieve business plan objectives and sales goals/quotas using approved resources. Drive product sales across assigned territory, presenting, demonstrating, and ensuring proper utilization of products. Build and maintain relationships with key surgeons, OR personnel, and hospital staff. Maintain regular surgeon/resident contact, provide support during surgical cases, and educate staff through in‑services and workshops. Manage inventory of sales equipment and promotional materials in alignment with company policies. Address competitive threats and promote special emphasis products and strategic objectives. Implement balanced product mix plan to achieve territory sales mix targets. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree (minimum) or Associate degree with relevant certification (e.g., CST, PT) + minimum of 5 years experience, or 8+ years experience, or 3 years since transition from active military duty, or ≥3 years professional experience with a bachelor’s degree. Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel, including weekend/overnight travel. Residence in or ability to relocate to posted territory. Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Experience in data analysis and problem‑solving. Result orientation, prioritization, independent and autonomous work capability. Ability to collaborate within complex reporting structures. High accuracy and attention to detail. Functional knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, basic knowledge of surgery. Preferred: Strong technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions. Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $56,000 – $100,000 base. Eligible for a performance‑based incentive compensation program and long‑term incentive program.
