Project Accounting Analyst

D&B Engineers and Architects is hiring a Project Accounting Analyst. We are seeking a technology‑savvy accounting professional with hands‑on experience in a project‑based engineering or construction environment. You will own core accounting functions while serving as a key contributor to our ERP system administration and system upgrades. This role combines project accounting and ERP system administration. You will manage core accounting functions, financial reporting, and accounts receivable while helping maintain and improve the systems that support these processes. Responsibilities: Work within the firm’s project accounting ERP system, including user administration, troubleshooting, documentation, and support for system upgrades and migration Build and maintain Excel based reports and reconciliations using advanced functions including Xlookup and pivot tables Record and reconcile project related journal entries including WIP, revenue recognition, and accruals Manage AR and collections, follow up on outstanding invoices Understand and apply paid‑when‑paid contract provisions; read and interpret contract payment terms when needed Support month‑end and year‑end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation Assist with payroll processing and post payroll journal entries Review and approve employee expense reports for policy compliance and proper coding Other tasks as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a project accounting role Experience with a Project ERP system is required, BST Global experience is preferred Working knowledge of WIP accounting and paid‑when‑paid concepts Proficient in Excel Experience within an engineering, architecture, construction, or consulting firm is preferred D&B Engineers and Architects 330 Crossways Park Drive, Woodbury, NY 11797 | View phone number on click.appcast.io 4 West Red Oak Lane, Suite 315, White Plains, NY 10604 | View phone number on click.appcast.io 11 Oval Drive, Suite 100, Islandia, NY 11749 | View phone number on click.appcast.io 11 N.
