Group Technology enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability, and innovation. In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and aspire to delight our business partners through multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Build and expose RESTful APIs and backend services that support digital banking platforms and enterprise applications.
- Develop reusable, testable, and efficient code following engineering best practices and coding standards.
- Design, build, and deploy microservices on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Kubernetes-based environments.
- Implement event-driven and asynchronous processing solutions using Apache Kafka and messaging frameworks.
- Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Design and optimize database schemas, SQL queries, stored procedures, and integration patterns across relational and NoSQL databases.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience through proper design, monitoring, and optimization practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to enhance system stability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and deployment guides.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Strong expertise in designing and developing Microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Proficient in Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and related backend frameworks.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms, particularly Apache Kafka.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) or Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Experience with API security, OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, and secure application development practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, SonarQube, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Banking or financial services domain experience.
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns and API gateways.
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Dynatrace, or Prometheus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern backend engineering practices.
