Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

SCHEDULE
Day shift: 0615-1845, 3 days/week

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of Medical/Surgical or Emergency Room experience required.
- Previous travel experience required.
- Cerner EHR/EMR experience required.
- Graduate of an accredited RN program required.
- Current RN license in good standing, or ability to obtain required licensure.
- Current AHA BLS certification required.
- Current ACLS certification required or completion at next available course within 3 months.
- Current PALS certification required or completion at next available course within 3 months.
- Basic computer skills and electronic health record experience required.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide patient care within the RN scope of practice and in accordance with physician/provider orders.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, nursing interventions, reassessments, and evaluation of care provided.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report abnormal findings to the appropriate provider.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood products, and other treatments accurately and timely.
- Provide patient and family education related to disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with providers, staff, and other departments to support interdisciplinary patient care.
