Temporary - Open Gym Supervisor

Job Description Montgomery College, Germantown Campus, is seeking candidates for a Temporary Open Gym Supervisor in the Department of Health Enhancement, Exercise Science and Physical Education. The regular work schedule is 10 hours a week, Monday - Thursday, 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., allowing for flexibility to accommodate the needs of the department. The primary responsibility of this role is to help supervise the Recreation/Fitness Program open to students, faculty and staff. This is a non-bargaining, non-exempt position. For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College. Duties include but are not limited to: Supervise students during designated Open Gym hours. Enforce rules and regulations of the Open Gym program. Complete and maintain accurate records for the program. Effectively communicate and work with all faculty, staff and students. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, and any combination of education, training and experience providing understanding of the field and ability to perform the duties of the job. Fitness Certification from an NCCA accredited organization such as: American College of Sports Medicine American Council on Exercise The Cooper Institute National Academy of Sports Medicine National strength and Conditioning Association CPR/AED certification Experience in fitness instruction - group and/or individual Excellent communication and organizational skills Pay Rate : $25.00 per hour.
