Safety Coordinator

Talint's client is a growing and respected provider of safety and quality management consulting and services in the construction industry to both government and commercial clients. Our client is seeking a Safety Coordinato r to help oversee safety compliance on a construction project at Dulles Airport in Virginia. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of construction industry safety experience, OSHA 30, First Aid & CPR certification, and a BCSP certification . This position is onsite Desired Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience; Preferred, VDOT highway experience; Experience conducting daily safety inspections on active construction sites and identifying, documenting, and correcting unsafe conditions and work practices; Experience delivering safety orientations, facilitating toolbox talks, and supporting ongoing safety training programs for employees and subcontractors; Knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards and experience enforcing site‑specific safety programs, reviewing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and ensuring compliance with contractor and client safety requirements. Responsibilities Assist the Project Safety Manager in implementing and enforcing site‑specific safety programs, airport authority requirements, and project safety standards across all field activities; Conduct daily site safety inspections, identify potential hazards, document findings, and help ensure timely corrective actions are implemented by project teams and trade partners; Support worker onboarding and compliance efforts by facilitating safety orientations, monitoring badging requirements, reviewing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and verifying required safety documentation is maintained; Assist with accident, incident, and near‑miss investigations by gathering information, documenting findings, tracking corrective actions, and preparing required reports for project leadership and airport stakeholders; Participate in weekly safety meetings, toolbox talks, safety stand‑downs, and project safety walks to promote safe work practices and reinforce a strong safety culture throughout the jobsite; Maintain project safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and regulatory submissions while coordinating with project management, subcontractors, and airport authority representatives on safety‑related matters. #J-18808-Ljbffr
