General Summary

Join the Adult Respiratory Therapy team at The Johns Hopkins Hospital as a Respiratory Care Practitioner III. In this role, you will provide advanced respiratory care to adult patients, including those in critical and intensive care settings. You will serve as a clinical and technical resource, support respiratory care during high-acuity emergencies, mentor staff, and promote quality, safety, and operational readiness across the department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care, or a related field.

• Graduate of a Registered Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

• Minimum of five years of clinical experience in adult critical or intensive care.

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

• Current Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner license.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, when applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving as a charge therapist, preceptor, or clinical resource.

• Experience mentoring and developing respiratory care practitioners.

• Experience leading quality improvement initiatives, committees, or clinical workgroups.

• Experience with ECMO, ventricular assist devices (VAD), or extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR).

Salary Range: Minimum 39.56/hour - Maximum 65.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
