Part-Time Dental Assistant

Role: Dental Assistant As a Dental Assistant, you will support the dental team by providing chairside assistance during various procedures, preparing and sterilizing instruments, and ensuring patient comfort. Your duties include taking dental X-rays, maintaining patient records, and collaborating on treatment plans. Responsibilities Assist dentists during procedures such as restorations, extractions, and root canals. Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and supplies. Greet patients, address concerns, and ensure a comfortable experience. Take and process dental X-rays following safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records and document clinical notes. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care. Ensure proper functioning of dental equipment and manage inventory. Schedule appointments and manage patient information using dental software. Follow infection control standards and OSHA/CDC guidelines. Work collaboratively with the dental team and assist with training new staff if needed. Qualifications & Skills Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience. Current certification or licensure as required by state. Proficiency in chairside assisting, radiography, and dental procedures. Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
