We are looking for a knowledgeable Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. For over 25 years, we have been providing reliable and efficient HVAC and Refrigeration services to our vital government and business clients in the greater DC area. Our HVAC Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing & maintaining commercial HVAC systems.

Duties of the Commercial HVAC Technician:

• Equipment Diagnostics & Repairs: including troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, or refrigerant-related problems. You must have a strong understanding of the systems, the ability to determine solutions, and situational awareness to accurately determine urgency and communication needs.
• Preventative Maintenance: on RTUs, VRF Systems, Chillers, WSHP systems, Split systems, PTACs, and VTACs.
• Customer Service: clear verbal and written communication is essential to explain repairs, maintenance, and system recommendations to clients.
• Leadership: manage and mentor apprentice technicians to grow both their technical and customer service skills to best support you and our customers.
• Documentation: keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations to track the history of the systems, plan for future maintenance, and ensure compliance with regulations. (We use BuildOps as our Field Service Management System.)

Requirements for the Commercial HVAC Service Technician:

• Minimum 4 years of Commercial HVAC experience
• EPA certification is required.
• Journeyman or Master License preferred.
• Driver’s License required & insurable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background test.
• Must own hand and power tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
