Accountant-Concrete- Belmont, NH What you can expect: Starting at $28.00- $32.00/hour depending on experience Year-Round Position Annual Increase potential Paid time off $1,000 Referral Bonuses-Unlimited What Will you do: Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for the concrete line of business, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with corporate reporting standards Perform detailed variance analyses (price, volume, mix, and absorption) to identify underlying business drivers and operational inefficiencies Translate complex financial data into actionable insights and present findings to senior leadership with clear recommendations Oversee and continuously improve job costing methodologies, ensuring accurate allocation of materials, labor, equipment, and overhead Analyze contribution margins across jobs and customers, identifying opportunities to improve pricing strategies and cost recovery Support capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis for plant upgrades, fleet investments, and process improvements Ensure proper accounting treatment of inventory (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) with a focus on standard costing, variances, and obsolescence Research and apply relevant accounting guidance to ensure compliance with GAAP (or applicable standards) Drive process standardization and automation initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial operations Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting 1-3 years of accounting experience in a corporate, construction, or manufacturing environment Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-basis accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas) Experience with ERP systems (Viewpoint, Sage, SAP, Oracle, or similar) Strong attention to detail; ability to meet recurring deadlines with accuracy Preferred Qualifications Experience in construction, concrete, or materials industries Familiarity with multi-state sales & use tax filing (Avalara, CCH, or manual) Progress toward or completion of CPA or CMA certification Experience with Viewpoint Vista, Command Alkon, or Odoo ERP Benefits: 80% of health care costs paid by the Company.
