Payroll Accountant

Anonymous Job Description – Payroll & Equity Accountant Location: onsite 5x/week Duration : Contract to Hire System : ADP WFN (must be recent) We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Equity Accountant to join a fast-growing, dynamic organization. Responsibilities Process and review semi-monthly U.S. payroll and oversee international payroll activities prepared by local teams. Ensure accuracy of employee deductions, including retirement plans, health savings accounts, and flexible spending accounts. Monitor employee timekeeping submissions and approval processes. Partner with Human Resources to manage payroll-related changes, including new hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, bonuses, and benefits updates. Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts, including accrued compensation, paid time off, bonuses, employee benefits, liabilities, and prepaid expenses during month-end close. Prepare, import, and reconcile payroll journal entries within the ERP system. Administer employee equity transactions, including grants, exercises, tax withholdings, and related reporting. Collaborate with Accounts Payable to review vendor invoices and employee expense reports. Stay current on federal, state, and international payroll regulations and compliance requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in payroll accounting, general ledger accounting, or equity/stock accounting. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance requirements, and wage and hour laws. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
