Physical Therapist – Outpatient

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Friday No weekends, no holidays

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 143 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Discussed at interview

Requirements: License: Physical Therapist [REQUIRED] Certification: BLS - Basic Life Support - Within 1 month of hire or transfer [HIGHLY PREFERRED] Education: Bachelor's Degree [REQUIRED]

Roles & Responsibilities: Evaluate patient function through formal and informal testing measures to determine skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status. Develop goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and patient tolerance, in coordination with physician orders. Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding conditions, treatment alternatives, and home education programs. Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and students. Document patient responses to treatment and any changes in condition in compliance with documentation policies. Promote physical therapy services within the healthcare community through education and outreach initiatives.

Compliance / Notes: Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training is required annually. Exposure to communicable diseases is possible, and personal protective equipment must be used appropriately.
