Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Adult) provides critical triage and stabilization care for adult patients in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art ED setting. This role requires strong clinical expertise, efficient charting, and the ability to float within skillsets as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to adult patients, including trauma, stroke, and neuro-associated conditions.
• Manage advanced skills such as IV therapy, ventilator management, and cardiac monitoring.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC, adhering to hospital policies and standards.
• Float within various emergency department units, providing support across all adult emergency diagnoses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure rapid patient stabilization and effective treatment.
• Follow safety protocols, including isolation precautions and disaster response procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active New York Single State RN license; no pending licenses accepted.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent emergency room experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV therapy, ventilator management, and cardiac monitoring.
• Have current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; NIHSS must be included in submission.
• Experience with EPIC charting is mandatory.
• Be comfortable floating within skill sets and working flexible hours, including every other holiday.
