IT Cable Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the education industry, is seeking a Cable Technician for a long-term contract opportunity with potential for permanent hire. This role supports multiple educational facilities throughout the Charleston area and involves installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting CAT5/CAT6 cabling, assisting with network infrastructure projects, and supporting IP camera and access control systems. Candidates should have some experience with structured cabling, cable pulling, punch-downs, and troubleshooting, along with a willingness to learn and grow their skills in networking and security technologies. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, as travel between sites will be necessary, with mileage reimbursed at the current IRS rate. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of North Charleston, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.50 - $30.00/hr.
