Adjunct Faculty - French
The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc.
Job Description The French program at Harper caters to both traditional and returning students and offers fall and spring courses. Courses are offered during the day, in the evening and online. The instructor will teach introductory and/or intermediate French-language courses. Instructors are currently needed for the Spring 2020 semester. Successful candidates teach in an interactive and engaging way with the focus being on student communication in French. Qualifications Education: A Master's degree in French or a Master's in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in French. Experience: College teaching experience and travel/study in countries where French is spoken is preferred. Required Documents A CV/Resume and cover letter are required to complete the application process. Applicants should indicate their availability for this current semester, Spring 2020, in their cover letter. Official transcripts are required upon hire. Employment is contingent upon a Criminal Background Check. Employment sponsorship is not available. Responsibilities Teach introductory and/or intermediate French-language courses for the Spring 2020 semester.
