Commercial Banking Officer

Commercial Banking Officer – Confidential Our client, an established financial institution, is seeking an experienced Commercial Banking Officer to drive new business development while managing and growing a portfolio of commercial banking relationships. This individual will be responsible for originating commercial loans, evaluating creditworthiness, structuring financing solutions, and developing long-term client relationships. Responsibilities Proactively identify and develop new commercial banking relationships through networking, referrals, cold calling, and Centers of Influence (COIs) . Manage an existing portfolio of business clients while identifying opportunities to expand relationships. Cross-sell additional banking products, including treasury management and deposit services . Meet with prospective borrowers to understand their financial needs and structure appropriate lending solutions. Originate and structure Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Commercial & Industrial (C&I), and SBA loans in accordance with lending and risk guidelines. Analyze financial information and creditworthiness to evaluate potential lending opportunities. Monitor the financial performance of existing borrowers and manage loan renewals. Maintain accurate, current, and compliant credit files. Develop strong referral relationships with CPAs, attorneys, real estate professionals, and other business partners . Represent the organization through community involvement, networking events, and civic organizations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field . Minimum of 5 years of banking experience . Commercial lending and/or commercial real estate lending experience required. Proven ability to prospect, develop new business, and close commercial lending opportunities . Strong understanding of credit analysis and financial statements. Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to independently manage and grow a commercial loan portfolio #J-18808-Ljbffr
