Production Supervisor - 1st Shift

Production Supervisor – 1st Shift Location: Fountain Inn, SC. Primary Function The Production Supervisor will coordinate manufacturing operations on the first shift and oversee a growing number of direct reports. Duties and Responsibilities Day‑to‑day supervision of production direct reports regarding work needs, quality, safety, scrap, and other aspects of production performance Routine inspection for quality, defects, process problems, materials, equipment or skills Manage individual performance issues of direct reports in areas such as attendance, performance reviews, training and development Perform administrative duties such as ADP and attendance tracking Support the Safety Program and inventory management, including safety inspections, housekeeping inspections, crane/hoist/lifting equipment inspections, etc. Walk the production area for the majority of shifts; shifts may extend beyond 8 hours, include weekends or alternate schedules Work at a desk using computer, answering telephone, and use other basic office equipment Physically capable of working in sometimes awkward situations with manufacturing equipment, handling weights up to 40 lbs as necessary Ensure shift employees follow safe work practices, audit compliance, and address safety issues promptly Conduct safety and job function training for shift personnel Train shift associates in proper procedures, coach them to improve results, and evaluate performance Requirements Bachelor's degree (required) 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred) Highly organized with excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience with timekeeping systems EEO Statement Kyocera‑AVX is an Equal Opportunity Employer, M/F/D/V: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. #J-18808-Ljbffr
