We are looking for a self-starting entry level Accounting Clerk to assist in handling the-day-to day financial operations for our rapidly growing insurance defense law firm.

A successful candidate will facilitate the Firm's growth and profitability objectives.

The primary function of this position is to perform the bookkeeping/accounting functions which include accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, audit, reconciliation and budgeting.

Reports to: This position reports directly to the Firm Administrator.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all bookkeeping functions for the firm.
• Daily banking and deposits.
• Pay vendor bills and manage accounts payable.
• Monthly reconciliation of multiple accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Posting in Quickbooks.
• IOLTA trust accounting.
• Audit, reconciliation, payment of employee expense reimbursement requests.
• Payroll.
• Special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Trustworthiness, integrity, and honesty are paramount.
• Ability to safeguard confidential information.
• Highly organized and can prioritize/execute assignments timely.
• Detailed data entry.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Team orientation and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced in bookkeeping, accounting, and Quickbooks software.
• Some experience in a law firm setting is required.
• Must pass a background and credit check.

The salary range in California for this role is $24.00 - $30.00 per hour and represents the firm's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. This is an in office position, not hybrid.

The position will work out of the Firm’s Irvine, CA office. Local candidates preferred.
