Step into an impactful role shaping the educational journey of students as a Special Education Teacher for a local district near Andover, MN. This contract position offers the opportunity to truly make a difference for students with autism in a supportive environment. The assignment runs through June 10, 2027, with consistent daytime hours from 8:10 AM to 2:40 PM, totaling 37.5 hours each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction for students with autism, utilizing evidence-based strategies to support their growth.
- Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure students’ unique needs are met.
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that encourages independence and social-emotional development.
- Assess student progress regularly, adapting lessons to maximize student engagement and achievement.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Serve as a resource for colleagues and contribute meaningfully to the school community.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher license appropriate for Minnesota.
