Daisy Private Home Care is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to serve individuals throughout Jefferson, Shelby, and St. Clair Counties. We are also accepting applicants interested in assignments in Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, and surrounding Alabama communities.

We provide home- and community-based services to veterans and individuals receiving services through the Alabama Department of Mental Health.

Applicants may select their preferred counties and schedules. Employees will not be required to accept assignments outside their selected service area.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
• Direct Support Professional (DSP)
• In-Home Caregiver

COMPENSATION

$12–$15 per hour, based on the position, experience, credentials, assignment requirements, and schedule.

AVAILABLE SERVICE AREAS

• Jefferson County
• Shelby County
• St. Clair County
• Tuscaloosa County and surrounding communities
• Montgomery and surrounding communities
• Additional nearby Alabama counties

Applicants will be asked to select the counties and communities where they are available to work.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

• Assisting clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Providing companionship, supervision, and safety monitoring
• Assisting with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living
• Preparing meals and completing light housekeeping tasks
• Providing medication reminders within the employee’s permitted scope
• Accompanying clients to appointments and community activities when authorized
• Supporting veterans, seniors, and individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Encouraging client independence and participation in daily activities
• Following the client’s care plan or person-centered plan
• Completing accurate shift notes and service documentation
• Reporting changes in a client’s condition or behavior to the supervisor
• Maintaining client confidentiality and professional boundaries

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CNA certification required for CNA assignments
• Previous caregiving, senior-care, home-care, disability-services, or behavioral-health experience preferred
• Experience supporting veterans or individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Current automobile insurance when driving is required
• Ability to pass required criminal-background, registry, and exclusion checks
• Ability to meet applicable drug-screening and health-screening requirements
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Ability to complete all required orientation and training
• Reliable, professional, and able to report to accepted assignments on time
• Comfortable completing electronic service documentation

SCHEDULING

Available schedules may include:

• Day shifts
• Evening shifts
• Overnight shifts
• Weekday and weekend assignments
• Part-time and PRN opportunities
• Extended shifts based on client needs
