JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Paragould, AR Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: May 31, 2026 - Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM COVERAGE DATES Starting May 31, 2026 Ongoing assignment Flexible scheduling; must be available for both day and night shifts PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 24,500 annual ED visits Admissions: Yes Rounding: Included Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 125 hospital beds; 13 ED beds Trauma Level: Level III EMR System: T-System Office Equipment Available: Standard ED equipment Specialty Backup Available: Yes Support Staff Available: NP/PA support (12:00 PM - 11:00 PM) Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered per client policy REQUIRED PROCEDURES Emergency medicine evaluations and management Stabilization and treatment of acute conditions Interpretation of diagnostic studies Coordination of care with inpatient and specialty teams JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Arkansas medical license required Board: Board Certification preferred; if not board certified, must have 2,500 ED hours in past 5 years DEA: Active Arkansas DEA required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, ATLS required Experience: Emergency medicine experience required Other Qualifications: Must meet full credentialing and documentation requirements including CME logs, malpractice history, immunization records, and affiliations DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medical care in a hospital setting Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute patient conditions Collaborate with advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and standards of care
