This position ensures high standards of nursing care are maintained while providing specialized support to stroke and brain patients. Unit Information Unit Name: Stroke & Brain Number of Beds: 16 Patient Ratios: 4:1 Equipment Used: Welch Allyn VS Machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, Telemetry, Bladder Scanner, Doppler Documentation System: Meditech Unit Staffing: Includes the availability of unit secretaries and techs Scheduling Requirements 3 shifts per week 3-4 weekend shifts Floating policy: May require floating to other areas based on competency Qualifications Required Skills: Experience in cardiac drips, telemetry, and neurology Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Advanced Skills: Proficiency with cardiac drips and basic dysrhythmia management Dress Code All staff members are required to wear navy blue uniforms.
