Dental Care of Pewaukee is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. Overview We are seeking a motivated, patient‑focused Dental Assistant who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, energetic, and goal‑oriented office environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of Dental Assistant experience, but we are open to considering new graduates eager to learn and grow with the team. Schedule Tuesday – Friday Compensation $20.00–$25.00/hour, based on experience Ideal Candidate The right person will be dependable, team‑oriented, results‑driven, and comfortable supporting the doctor chairside while helping create a positive patient experience. Role Summary Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort, and provide appropriate education throughout treatment. Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history in order to provide quality care. Take and process x‑rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3‑D scanner, digital photography, etc.). Provide superior chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act. Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping. Prepare the treatment room with strict adherence to safety protocols and following OSHA & CDC recommendations. Manage supply and inventory levels and place and expedite orders as needed. Partner with the providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow. Minimum Qualifications Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Experience working in a fast‑paced and customer‑centric environment. Required dental assistant certification and/or x‑ray certification under the state dental practice act, if applicable. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job‑related functions; regular HIPAA training will be required. Preferred Experience 1+ years of experience in a dental setting. Experience with Dentrix or other dental software. Dental assisting school certification. Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Prolonged periods sitting and standing. Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times. Availability to attend virtual or in‑person training sessions periodically throughout the year. Requirement for a tuberculosis (TB) test for all new hires in dental office positions, with exceptions noted for state of FL & TN.
