Growing together.Position SummaryThe H2R Manager is responsible for leading the organization's Time, Labor, and Travel & Expense functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence as part of Accounting. This role oversees labor administration processes, travel-related activities including expense reimbursements, and associated internal controls. The H2R Manager partners closely with various teams to support business objectives, maintain data integrity, and drive continuous process improvement.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with solid accounting and operational expertise who can effectively manage a team, improve processes, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights through meaningful reporting and analytics.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Operational LeadershipManage the day-to-day operations of the Hire-to-Retire (H2R) function, including:Timesheet administration and complianceLabor posting, distribution, and cost allocationTravel and expense compliance and reimbursementEnsure the accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and reporting of labor-related costsCollaborate with Finance and operational leaders on workforce administration activities and labor cost managementResolve complex timekeeping, labor charging, and expense reporting issuesSupport strategic initiatives and operational planning efforts across the organizationFinancial Reporting & AnalysisDevelop, implement, and maintain processes that ensure accurate and timely analysis of financial and operational dataOversee labor-related reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activitiesPrepare and review internal and external reports, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timelinessDevelop, track, and report key performance indicators and workstream metrics to monitor productivity, compliance, quality, and operational effectivenessProvide financial analysis and recommendations to support informed business decisionsCompliance & ControlsEstablish and maintain a solid internal control environment for timekeeping, labor accounting, and employee expense reimbursement processesEnsure compliance with company policies, government regulations, contractual requirements, and applicable accounting standardsSupport internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and implementing corrective actions as neededMonitor compliance with labor charging requirements and reporting obligationsLeadership & People ManagementLead, develop, mentor, and support a team of accounting and operations professionals (4+ direct reports)Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, customer service, and operational excellenceEstablish performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and support employee developmentPrioritize workload and resources to ensure timely execution of department objectives and deliverablesProcess ImprovementIdentify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, enhance reporting capabilities, optimize systems and increase operational efficiencyLead and support cross-functional projects and technology initiatives related to timekeeping, labor accounting, and travel and expense managementImplement best practices that drive scalability, accuracy, and complianceYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field;
