Position: CVOR Technician - Days

We are seeking a qualified CVOR Technician for a day shift position. This role offers a 4x10-hour schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call requirements based on staffing levels. Candidates will be expected to discuss on-call expectations during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
Scrub in for vascular and cardiac surgeries, adhering to universal protocols.
Assist in the handling and labeling of specimens.
Collaborate with nursing staff as needed during procedures.
Participate in patient safety checks and timeout procedures.

Requirements

Current certifications: BLS and NBSTSA or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in CVOR or surgical technology.
Experience with angioplasty, aortic aneurysm repair, CABG, and other surgical procedures.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and radiation safety.
Previous experience with community hospital systems preferred.

Work Environment

This position involves working with adult and geriatric patients, with an emphasis on surgical care in a multi-specialty unit. The facility has a total of 6 beds and 5 surgical rooms. Interdisciplinary support from IV teams and radiology is available.

Additional Information

All pre-approved time off must be submitted at the time of application.
The facility has a policy for a guaranteed minimum of 1 shift off every 2 weeks.
Orientation consists of 30 hours of training to ensure staff readiness.
Floating to different units may be required based on staffing needs.
