Staff Accountant

Phoenix ProConnect is working with a fast-growing healthcare company in Broward to recruit a Staff Accountant.

Department: Finance

Position Type: Full-time

Supervisor: Reports to the Finance Manager

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field
Familiarity with GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles
Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite)

Role and Responsibilities

Handle Accounts Receivable, including invoicing and collections
Ensure accuracy in invoicing and coding
Assist in balance sheet reconciliations
Communicate with counterparties regarding invoices and contracts
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account data
Safeguard financial information by maintaining database backups
Uphold financial security by adhering to internal controls
Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
Address accounting procedure questions through research and interpretation of accounting policies and regulations
Generate special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing trends
Collaborate with internal teams to collect data required for accurate billing
