The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette seeks an ambitious, organized newsroom leader and highly skilled journalist to help accelerate our drive to greatness. With a robust complement of city reporters and editors, we are among the best-staffed local news organizations in America. We need a field general to help us deliver the best daily report in the country.    Based in Little Rock, the assistant managing editor will play a central role in setting newsroom priorities, working big stories and ensuring our journalism is urgent and essential to readers. This leader should be equally comfortable sharpening an accountability story, planning coverage around a major news event and using audience data to understand how our work is performing. We don't want people who've always wanted to give journalism a try, so, please, no pretenders.
