Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Applicable

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting across units including cardiac, spine, and neuro
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, identifying and responding to lethal and critical arrhythmias
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
• Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality inpatient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in Medical Surgical/Telemetry
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must pass a Telemetry competency exam prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with 100% identification of lethal rhythms)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working across multiple Med/Surg unit types, including cardiac, spine, and neuro
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in both adult and pediatric populations
