This school-based contract role offers the chance to use your expertise in pediatric speech therapy to empower students, collaborate with educators, and see your dedication translate into tangible progress.

This itinerant position is part-time (approximately 27 hours per week, 3.5 days), with flexibility to transition to full-time hours if desired. You’ll travel across multiple school sites, offering assessment, intervention, and support for students’ educational and communication needs. Enjoy a structured workweek aligned with the academic calendar (August 2026 – June 2027), and interview virtually from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver bilingual (Spanish/English) speech-language evaluations, therapy, and interventions to support academic success.
• Travel between assigned schools to provide direct and indirect services for Spanish-speaking students.
• Collaborate actively in IEP meetings, progress tracking, and multidisciplinary team efforts.
• Manage related documentation and administrative tasks, with paid time included in weekly hours.
• Contribute to a positive school culture by fostering communication skills in diverse learners.

Qualifications:

• Active or pending North Carolina SLP License.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred.
• Background check and fingerprinting clearance (required before start).
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience is a plus.
• Open to both local and travel professionals.
