Schedule: Night shift, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, 3 days per week (12-hour shifts), Full-Time. Weekend requirement: 6 days per 6-week schedule period.

Requirements:

• Active RN License in Texas or compact state
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Current PALS certification (AHA only)
• Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• One year of experience in Emergency Department or related nursing specialty preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols; monitor effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers to effectively manage clinical situations
