Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician — This position supports a high-volume acute care surgical environment with responsibilities spanning multiple service lines and complex procedures. The role requires cardiac, scrubbing, ear, nose, and throat, and Da Vinci Xi experience, with variable weekday shifts and rotating call coverage.

Job Details

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours, with variable weekday days and start times of 6:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., or 11:00 a.m. One weekday or weekend call shift is required per four-week schedule.
• Required Qualifications:
• Registration with Washington State at the time of submission
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 1 year of scrubbing experience
• Cardiac surgical experience
• Ear, nose, and throat surgical experience, including sinus, septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy, thyroid, and parathyroid procedures
• Da Vinci Xi experience in gynecologic, urologic, or general surgery
• Additional Information: The surgical environment includes approximately 50–65 cases per day across multiple operating room suites, with capacity for expansion across three floors. Procedures may include gynecologic, urologic, vascular, plastic, orthopedic, neurologic, cardiovascular, thoracic, general, sports medicine, transplant, and ear, nose, and throat cases. Weekday call extends from the end of the shift until 7:00 a.m.; weekend call is 24 hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a 30-minute response time. Teal scrubs are provided, and department-specific orientation includes operating room training and two days of surgical technologist orientation.
