Paramedic (Urgent Care Technician) - Urgent Care

Dover, New Hampshire, United States Opportunity The ConvenientMD team is seeking a dedicated Paramedic, nationally registered EMT, to join as an Urgent Care Technician. As a vital clinical team member, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with providers, and support a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Patient Care & Triage Conduct comprehensive triage, take vital signs, document history, and perform examinations to identify immediate needs. Assist with patient exams and support providers during testing and procedures. Clinical Procedures Perform diagnostic and testing procedures: vision, hearing, drug screens, breath alcohol, spirometry. Execute point‑of‑care testing: strep, flu, RSV, SARS‑CoV‑2, glucose, lipid panel, urinalysis. Provide cardiac and airway management: ECGs, AED use, nebulizers, oxygen administration. Deliver wound care, immunizations, and medication administration per regulations. Patient Engagement & Documentation Assist with patient inquiries, communicate results, explain plans. Maintain accurate electronic medical records, documenting histories and treatments. Observe and report changes in patients' conditions. Clinic Operations Ensure instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained. Maintain a stocked and sterile workspace to support operations. Collaboration with Clinical Team Work closely with team members for seamless coordination. Communicate updates to providers and support training of new staff. Required Availability Must work 12‑hour shifts, consecutive or non‑consecutive. Full‑time: three 12‑hour shifts per week with at least four weekend shifts per month. Part‑time: two 12‑hour shifts per week with at least two weekend shifts per month. Per diem: four 12‑hour shifts per month, ideally one per week. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work at least three other ConvenientMD locations within a one‑hour travel distance. Required to travel for training shifts that may occur outside the primary clinic. Qualifications Education – High school diploma or GED. Certifications – Licensed paramedic (preferably nationally certified), BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Experience – Prior experience placing and monitoring IVs. Skills – Compassionate, authentic, patient‑focused; proactive, confident communicator; trustworthy and HIPAA‑compliant; strong team player; technically savvy with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
