Sr. Accounts Receivable Specialist

We're excited to meet you and share what we love about Smith!We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sr. Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team at a global electronic component distributor. This role is responsible for managing the full accounts receivable cycle while working cross-functionally with our sales and operations teams. Your work directly supports order fulfillment, risk management, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess credit memos, adjustments and account reconciliationsManage the AR lifecycle including invoicing, payment tracking and account reconciliationProactively communicate with customers via phone and email to follow up on outstanding invoices, resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely paymentsWork with Account Representatives to investigate past due alerts and ensure alignment on customer payments terms, credit limits and potential risksCoordinate with the operations team to authorize order shipments upon payment receipt or enforce holds on delinquent accountsMaintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit files, account notes and payment history within our ERP system (Glovia)Post cash payments accurately and timely, including ACH, wire transfers, checks, credit cards and lockbox depositsQualifications2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or credit/collectionsStrong understanding of billing systems, credit processes and payment collectionsExperience working with ERP systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage spreadsheets and generate reportsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of professionalismProven ability to problem-solve and work cross-functionally with internal teamsStrong attention to detail, organizational skills and time managementSMITH is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer#LI-AK1We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Smith
