Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for obstetric patients across labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods.
• Monitor maternal vitals and fetal status, respond to labor progress changes, and support safe delivery.
• Administer prescribed medications and anesthesia as ordered; assist with labor management and operative deliveries as needed.
• Collaborate with obstetric, anesthesia, and neonatal teams; document care in Epic EHR accurately and promptly.
• Support patient and family education, pain management, infection control, and discharge planning within a high-acuity obstetric unit.

Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license (or eligible for CA licensure) to practice in California.
• BLS required; ACLS and NRP preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience in an acute care setting.
• Proficiency with or ability to learn Epic EHR for documentation and orders.
• Education: Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and to manage care in a fast-paced obstetric environment.
