Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Schedule

12-hour day shifts, every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

Contract length: Not specified; guaranteed hours: 36 hours/week for 3x12s.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Proficient in management of cardiac drips (no titration) and sheath removal.
• Skilled in central line care/management and post-op cardiac care.
• Knowledgeable in airway support techniques including BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy care.
• Experience with chest tube management and wound care, including Wound VAC.
• Familiarity with procedural sedation monitoring.
• Charting experience with EPIC is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to plan and coordinate patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding cardiac procedures.
• Perform necessary interventions for patient stabilization and care.

Compliance / Notes

Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing; all onboarding documentation is due by 3 PM CST the week before start. Maximum 7 days of requested time off is allowable, with no RTO during the first week of assignment.
