The Pulmonary Function Respiratory Therapist role within the Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital offers a unique chance to become part of a dynamic, collaborative interdisciplinary team. This position adds value to patient care and significantly assists individuals with breathing issues. We currently offer an opportunity for a PRN Pulmonary Function Respiratory Therapist to support newborn and pediatric patients in our Level 1 trauma center in Cleveland. A Brief Overview The therapist is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility. This therapist performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory therapy with minimum supervision. What You Will Do Mechanical ventilation Medicated aerosol delivery Airway clearance therapy Patient monitoring Oxygen and humidity therapy Special procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.) Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
