Administrative Analyst I The County of San Diego invites your interest for an excellent professional career opportunity as an Administrative Analyst I. This position is eligible for appointment at Step 1, $72,696.00 annually. County employees are subject to the County Promotion Rule for Step Placement in accordance with Compensation Ordinance 1.3.5. Future salary increases: June 2027 4.49% increase to base pay (3.0% Across-the-Board + 1.49% Market Adjustment) This is the professional entry-level classification of the Administrative Analyst series. The Administrative Analyst I role provides County employees opportunities to develop professionally and gain valuable experience directly supporting the County's operations and services. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about public service, eager to develop their professional skills, and ready to take on new challenges. Incumbents provide managers and executives with general administrative support in various areas, such as financial management, budget preparation, purchasing, contract administration and monitoring, cost/benefit analysis, human resources, general administration, and special projects requiring quantitative and analytical skills. This recruitment will be used to fill vacancies for all Administrative Analyst I options. Hiring process and timeline: Job Offer and Background Process begins: Shortly after the interviews. Note: Current County employees may be excluded from additional background screening. Pre-employment Medical Screening: Approximately 3 days following successful background investigation results. Anticipated Start Date: Start date will be based upon successful completion of medical screening or other mutually agreed upon date. Minimum qualifications: A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency; OR, Four (4) years of full-time experience performing research and analytical work, personnel, budget, or program evaluation assignments. Education and work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. In order for education to substitute for work experience as indicated above, college level coursework must demonstrate progress toward a degree. Evaluation: The names of qualified applicants will be placed on a six (6) month employment list based upon scores received during the evaluation of information contained in their employment application and supplemental questionnaire.
