Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) Overview: Aptive Resources is hiring Advanced Medical Support Assistants to provide administrative and clerical support to the Primary Care PACT team at the Dayton VA Medical Center. Location: On-Site | Dayton VA Medical Center, 4100 W. 3rd St., Dayton, OH 45417 Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00am4:30pm | No federal holidays Employment Type: Full-Time Contract Contract Period: 8/1/20267/31/2027 (+ Option Year) Primary Responsibilities Schedule, cancel, and reschedule veteran appointments across one or more clinics Verify and update veteran demographic and insurance information at each encounter Manage active/pending consults and return-to-clinic lists daily Perform full range of receptionist and customer service duties Collect, scan, and update health insurance records; identify third-party insurance Advise veterans on beneficiary travel eligibility and reimbursement Participate in daily team huddles and weekly PACT meetings Ensure accurate EHR data entry and support administrative workload reporting Minimum Qualifications 23 years of medical administrative experience OR certification from an accredited institution in medical administration Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred Strong oral and written communication skills Must pass background investigation (Tier 1/Low Risk); PIV card required Must complete required VA mandatory training prior to start About Aptive Arrow ARC supports Veterans Health Administration facilities and offices across the U.S. with health care staffing and program support via the 10-year Integrated Critical Staffing Program (ICSP).
