Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Agent in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily site operations through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential hazards related to utility operations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations as required by site policy, and help support controlled access to restricted or sensitive areas.
• Complete routine logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and assist with directions and general support for employees, vendors, and visitors throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
