Organization Surgical Services Job Summary Responsible for planning, organizing, and administering patient care within the scope of his/her training and expertise, collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes in conjunction with hospital objectives, policies, and Tennessee State Nurse Practice Act. Shift Monday, Thursday & Friday; 3 days 12‑hour shifts 6:00‑6:30 p.m. plus 2–3 late‑stay shifts per month. Key Responsibilities Collaborate in establishing the plan of care, coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum. Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient’s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis. Utilize the nursing process to evaluate the patient’s progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes. Employ strategies to promote health and maintain a safe and healthy environment. Additional duties may be assigned. Technical Capabilities Patient Assessment & Evaluation (Home Care, Novice): Demonstrate fundamental proficiency in assessing and evaluating patients in moderate‑difficulty home settings, conduct primary care interviews, assess safety, and perform comprehensive physical assessments. Patient Education (Novice): Provide patient education in moderate‑difficulty applications. Care Planning (Novice): Manage multiple assignments, set priorities, schedule activities, and resolve issues with minimal disruption. Evidence‑Based Nutrition Practice (Novice): Search for nutrition evidence to answer clinical questions under direction of others.
