Legal Assistant (On-Site)

The Dallas office of Kaufman Dolowich LLP, an AV-rated national law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our growing Dallas office. This position provides comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling a variety of civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced law firm environment while delivering exceptional client service. Responsibilities Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, from case inception through resolution. Prepare, revise, proofread, and e-file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents. Maintain and organize electronic case files and documents utilizing the Firm's document management systems. Coordinate attorney calendars, court appearances, depositions, mediations, hearings, client meetings, and travel arrangements. Monitor case deadlines and assist in ensuring compliance with court rules and scheduling orders. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors. Assist with the preparation of exhibits, witness files, deposition materials, and trial binders. Process attorney time entries, expense reports, and assist with billing activities as needed. Support attorneys in managing workloads and maintaining accurate case information. Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Perform other administrative and litigation support duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a busy litigation practice. Knowledge of Texas state and federal court filing procedures. Strong understanding of litigation terminology, procedures, and document preparation. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with document management and legal practice technologies preferred.
