Job Title: 1st Shift MIG Welder

Job Description

Join a high-volume manufacturing environment as a 1st Shift MIG Welder in the Bulkhead Department, focusing on production welding of aluminum components. You will contribute directly to the fabrication of bulkheads by performing MIG welding and related metal preparation tasks to meet daily production goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform production MIG welding on aluminum bulkheads to meet established quality and safety standards.
• Achieve production expectations of approximately 1.5 bulkheads per day during the training period and 3.0 bulkheads per day after training is complete.
• Prepare bulkheads for final welding by operating grinders, brake presses, and shears to cut, shape, and finish materials.
• Read and interpret welding symbols and basic blueprints to ensure accurate weld placement and fabrication.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to support welding and fabrication tasks.
• Maintain and use personal welding equipment, including welding helmet and gloves, in accordance with safety requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the use of steel-toe or composite-toe footwear and safety glasses while on the production floor.
• Support a high-output production environment by being open to working 50+ hours per week, including mandatory Saturday overtime.
• Adhere to attendance and reliability expectations, including compliance with corrective action policies related to time at work.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and continuously improve processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toledo, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Toledo,OH.
