Job Description
Speech-Language Pathologist - Speech-Language Pathology

Requirements

• New York State SLP license required
• BLS certification required
• Experience in assessing and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Competence in selecting and training in augmentative and alternative communication systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for individuals with communication disorders
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve speech and language skills
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding communication strategies
• May engage in related research activities to further knowledge in the field

Compliance / Notes

Completion of a Criminal History Form is required prior to starting, with potential clearance taking up to 4 weeks. COVID-19 vaccination is required, medical exemptions only. Returning staff must have been away from any state facility for at least 2 years. Valid state license is required.
