Job Description
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule

12-hour night shifts; weekends may be required.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 16 weeks; guaranteed hours per week not specified.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license in the state of practice or proof of application.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP required; ACLS and STABLE preferred.
• Minimum of 1-year clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Experience in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological non-obstetrical care required.
• EPIC experience within the last 2 years is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients in labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and assess maternal well-being during labor.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing protocols and physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on care protocols and recovery processes.
