Environmental Aide I - FT (3:00pm-11:00pm) CMC

Job Description Atlantic Health is seeking a Full‑Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for the Environmental Services Department at Chilton Medical Center. Required hours: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, including weekends. Starting rate: $18.50 per hour. Essential Functions / Responsibilities Utilize appropriate cleaning equipment to clean all nursing units, patient rooms, and all other designated facility areas, including floors, woodwork, sills, vents, sinks, and furniture. Follow the department's policies and procedures on cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorization. Clean up major spills when necessary and respond to pages in a timely manner. Clean and restock housekeeping carts at the end of each shift. Remove all trash and linen within the hospital. Follow directions carefully for cleaning solution preparations and handling of bio‑hazard materials. Make periodic checks for environmental needs in the assigned area. Report any repairs to maintenance. Keep abreast of changes in environmental services by attending monthly department meetings. Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher‑level staff. Position includes cleaning of bodily fluids. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will be obtained within 1 year of employment. All candidates must be able to read, write, and speak English. Solid work history is required. Must meet the fit‑testing requirement. Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. Relevant Experience Prior experience in housekeeping in either a hospital or institutional setting or a related field is preferred. Prior floor‑care experience is preferred.
